Drug Discovery Africa, 2025
The University of Ghana and WCAIR invite you to join us in Accra from 12-14th March 2025. Our aim is showcase African led drug discovery research against endemic infectious diseases. The conference will bring together leading drug discovery researchers from across Africa and those from Industry and Product Partner Development organisations working alongside them. The conference aims to strengthen existing networks, generate new collaborations and share knowledge.
We welcome attendees at all stages of their career. Join us for invited keynotes, selected talks from early career researchers, and networking opportunities.
There will be travel bursaries to support the attendance of early career researchers from across Africa. All African ECRs submitting an abstract for a poster or short-talk will be eligible to apply.
The conference is organised around five themes:
- Wednesday 12th March: Clinical trials and Field studies
- Thursday 13th March: Drug targets and Drug target validation; Medicinal and Computational drug discovery
- Friday 14th March: DMPK and Toxicology; African drug discovery networks
Key deadlines
20th October 2024: deadline for early career researchers to submit abstracts if you would like to to be considered for a short talk.
20th October 2024: deadline to apply for travel bursaries. These are available to early career researchers selected for a poster presentation or short-talk
8th December 2024: Early bird registration ends
16th December 2024: Final deadline for poster abstracts (note if you submit after 20th October you will not be eligible for a travel bursary)
31st January 2025: Final day to register for the conference
