Public Engagement

Sharing our science is at the heart of what we do at the Drug Discovery Unit.

While public engagement was a part of our work from the very beginning, we were particularly fortunate to be part of the Wellcome Centre for Anti-Infectives Research throughout its life. Over 8 years, we benefitted hugely from a professional public engagement team, developing activities and connections. This has left us with a fantastic legacy, allowing us to continue in this essential work.

Our work included a huge range of exhibitions in both gallery and museum settings. We also made new theatre, created games, and even set up a new Girlguiding badge.

On these pages you can explore our many projects, enjoy our art and creative work, and even download activity packs to continue enjoying our science. If you find something you enjoy, why not let us know on our social media?

Our Exhibitions and Art

Public engagement is all about bringing people together to share their worlds. Creating new art works and exhibitions is a fantastic way to do this. We've been fortunate enough to work with artists, galleries, museums, and more over the years...

Our Games

When Shakespeare said "the play's the thing", we're not entirely sure he was referring to great ways of engaging with the drug discovery process, but he would have been right. We've developed a set of games, from simple to complex to giant, to bring our work to life in a fun way...
